Inga Marie works as a psychologist at OpenUp. With her calm and open-minded nature, she aims to make you feel heard and understood. Together, you will reflect on any aspects of life that you would like to explore or work on – building up resilience to stress, gaining insight into your emotions, or learning how to set boundaries.

She will support you on your path to self-awareness and self-development through an individualised and goal-oriented approach, as well as your active contributions.

Inga Marie is convinced that voicing one’s troubles and expressing one’s emotions is cathartic. She likes to share her struggles with friends or family. In turn, this helps her to achieve clarity in her mind, gain a new perspective, and mostly even find a solution.

After growing up in Germany and the Netherlands, Inga Marie completed her Bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Glasgow and the University of California Berkeley, followed by a research Master’s in clinical and health psychology at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands. Besides working at OpenUp, she is also fulfilling a PhD position at the psychology department of the University of Amsterdam. Her scientific research focuses on emotional memory.

Inga Marie speaks German and English.

"You will never speak to anyone more than to yourself in your head - so be kind to yourself!"
