Britt Slief
Britt is a psychologist at OpenUp. Her approach is client-oriented, warm and professional.
During the sessions, she pays great attention to what really matters to you and helps you deal with obstacles. Together, you will look at the steps that can be taken toward a more meaningful life and set achievable goals. Britt gives great importance to a safe and familiar environment in the conversation.
During the sessions, your request for help and need is central. Based on this, Britt looks at which approach fits best. She works with cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
Britt completed her Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Master’s degree in Healthcare Psychology at the University of Amsterdam. She conducted research within sexology for both her Bachelor’s and Master’s theses. After her studies, she worked as a psychologist within the Basis GGZ en Specialistische GGZ. She has worked with anxiety, depression, burnout and identity problems.
To take good care of her own mental health, Britt can often be found in nature with her two dogs. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Britt speaks Dutch and English.
